Manhattan has a chance to make some noise if it wins the tourney. With RHP John Soldinger throwing the opening game they most certainly can knock off a #1 seed in round 1. Manhattan started off 1-14 and has gone 25-10 since with 3 of those loses at TCU.

Austin Peay is a solid club but havent put together week or month to get in. There record is similar to Kent St but Kent St is 21-3 in conference and has gone 4-5 vs top 50 clubs according to warrennolan. Austin Peay has not played game vs top 50.

It could have been a coin flip this week with Kent St(3-0), Army(2-0), Stony Brook(3-0), Illinois St(3-0), St Louis(4-0), South Florida(3-0), Wright St(4-0), Wichita St(3-0), Campbell(4-1), Austin Peay(4-1), Mercer(4-1).

South Florida and Wichita St had probably the best weeks. South Florida swept UCONN but had lost their previous 3 weekend series. Wichita St swept a good Bradley club but was coming off series loss at Indiana St so i decided to reward Kent St for winning for almost 2 months though it has been vs not as good opponents.

I do not use RPI to decided where to place teams but with this weeks clutter of clubs i did look at it a little more to help decide between a couple few teams. Not the teams RPI but some of its opponents.

Couldnt do it this week sorry. It was really not easy to determine the 2 teams. There were 10 teams that had good weeks but nothing special. Mercer was one of around 6 or 7 that i narrowed list down to. Love the series win vs UNF but Alabama St no

No worries, remember the Bears already beat Georgia Southern 12-4 earlier this season since I saw the Eagles pulled out a good series win at WCU

There were a bunch of teams that had good weeks. Have not had time to go over all the results yet to see who gets in but will definetly look at Mercer.

I went to Western Carolina at Georgia Southern series this weekend and did not get in till late so the top 25 will be a day late.

Hey guys I think its finally time to sneak Mercer into this top-25 poll after the stretch it has been on. They are now up to 33 wins on the season and just put together a 4-1 week including a huge series win over North Florida.

I give you credit with some of the players on this list...but you've got several players that are not on the list that rank highest in the nation in their position. There is pitcher Chris Stratton, from Mississippi State, who has 9-0 in wins, 101 strikeouts (tied for 3rd in the nation), 2 complete games including a shutout. That's just an example, like I said a lot of good players on the list, but how can you exclude players like Chris Stratton for pitching. That's including Hudson Randle and Alex Yardbourgh also.

Brian, you're correct. At the time of the post Jackson State did have a better conference record....unfortunately they ran into a buzz saw the weekend before the post.....LOL!
